Daniel Flora was born in Bucharest, Romania and, as a son of two American Foreign Service Officers, has lived in Switzerland, Germany and Canada, before returning to the United States. Daniel started dancing in Bonn, Germany, mainly focusing on Irish. Since returning to Illinois, he has become active in the international folk and contra community.
