Contra Dance with the Firesides

The Firesides have played their music for barn dances and gatherings for more than a decade across the Driftless Area of Southwestern Wisconsin and beyond. Their sound is rooted in the traditions of Appalachian and Midwestern fiddle tunes, cowboy ballads, the blues, and timeless song-gems, all woven together with their original songs that carry those traditions forward. The duo—Meghan Dudle (fiddle) and Daniel Kenneth Libby (guitar)—first crossed paths in the Twin Cities music scene, where they played separately in the bands The DitchLilies and The Floorbirds. Since settling in rural Wisconsin, they’ve made their home in the historic arts community of Mineral Point, where they continue to share their music.
