Country music’s greatest songwriter and performer was also a complex and enigmatic soul, as reflected in his impressive catalog of compositions and recordings. Found dead in his Cadillac in West Virginia at the age of 29, on his way to a show on New Years Day 1953, Hank Williams has become a legend. Workshop leader John Lilly will discuss the life and career of the “Hillbilly Shakespeare,” singing some of the mega-hits as well as several hidden gems he left behind. Songs will include “Your Cheating Heart,” “Lovesick Blues,” “Jambalaya,” “Log Train,” “I’m Satisfied with You,” and others.
