Greg Klyma is the Rust Belt vagabond, a home-cooked meal and a Vaudeville show in a fast food, karaoke world. He crafts a set with the same skill that he crafts his songs. The stories blend seamlessly into songs, evoking a flavor of Mark Twain, Woody Guthrie and David Sedaris. A prolific songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and seasoned performer, Klyma brings to every stage a deep catalog of material that assumes audiences are both smart and able to laugh.
Despite his age planting him right in the middle of Generation X, Greg Klyma is a troubadour following the traditional footsteps tread by the likes of Woody Guthrie and Ramblin’ Jack Elliott. His humor-filled performances have taken him to some of the top venues across the nation, with critics comparing him to such legends as Mark Twain, Woody Guthrie, David Sedaris, and Vic Chesnutt. Klyma is based out of Somerville, MA, but grew up in the blue-collar suburbs of Buffalo, NY, and has continued his blue-collar work ethic with the release of 7 CDs and 1 live DVD. You can find out more about Klyma, including music videos and sound clips from his various CDs on his website.
In the three years since moving to Champaign from the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, Jeff Arrigo has gained a steady legion of fans appreciative of his homespun stories and songcraft. Co-founder of the Champaign/Urbana Singer-Songwriter Collective, Jeff has also been instrumental in uniting many of the fantastic songwriters in the area, sharing music and friendship at monthly meetings at the Clark Bar. Jeff’s songs touch on stories of family, social issues, and imagination.
