From Bloodshot Records – Devil in a Woodpile, they play blues. They also play country. Ragtime. Hot Jazz. Hillbilly. It’s all the same to them. It’s all taken from the same well called American Music that existed long before wise guy marketing goons decided to categorize the whole mess. Bloodshot darlings Devil in a Woodpile disbanded in 2009 following more than a decade channeling unmic-ed, acoustic “American music” full of stompin’, whoopin’, and hollerin’ through serious chops and undeniable swagger to devoted audiences in their home of Chicago, and across the nation. We are thrilled to announce that this iconic band will be reforming to play a reunion show at this year’s CU Folk & Roots Festival. Take advantage of an extremely rare opportunity to hear this influential three-piece group. Not to be missed!
