The Spurlock Museum and the C-U Folk and Roots Festival are delighted to present a Cajun dance workshop, followed by a Cajun dance with music by the rockin’ Cornstalkers Cajun Band.
Sure to be a foot stompin’ good time, the Cornstalker Cajun Band aims to make you dance. The Cornstalkers are Matt Turino on fiddle, Tom Turino on accordion, Randy Cordle on guitar, JB Faires on bass, and Kristi Emilsson on triangle. Members of the band have been playing cajun and zydeco music from southwest Louisiana together locally for some twenty years.
The rhythmically challenged will find themselves tapping along, the lame will two-step, and shy folks may find they’re not so shy after all. You’ve been warned!
