The Champaign/Urbana Singer-Songwriter Collective, Nightjar Productions, and the CU Folk & Roots Festival will be presenting a special reprise of the concert originally performed in May, the Bob Dylan Tribute, as DYLAN Redux on Saturday, August 17th, 2013, at 6pm, in the Grand Hall of the Urbana Historic Landmark Hotel at Lincoln Square Mall.
The Redux show will feature several new songs and performers, and will be recorded by Urbana Public Television. The show will be the centerpiece for the Collective’s first annual Singer-Songwriter Festival, which will feature multiple showcases of great local musicians playing original music throughout the weekend. The entire event will feature free showcases Friday (August 16) evening, the Dylan Redux concert on Saturday, and a special marathon of performance showcases on Sunday (August 18) afternoon. Door for the Dylan show or the Sunday showcases will be $10, or you can purchase a weekend wristband on Friday night for $15.
