Dennis Stroughmatt et L’Esprit Creole @ The Iron Post
Mar 4 @ 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Dear friends and music lovers,

I’ll be playing music with my uber-talented buddy Dennis Stroughmatt
on Monday, March 4 at The Iron Post in downtown Urbana. We’ll start at
7:00PM. Monday will be Lundi Gras (or Shrove Monday), the day before
Mardi Gras. In Cajun country, this day serves as the last warm-up,
party-hearty day before Fat Tuesday.

So come out if you can, bring your beads, friends and dance shoes and
we’ll pass a good time. The band will play a mix of Creole, Cajun,
blues, Zydeco and more. We’ll honor the Mardi Gras traditions of old
Upper Louisiana (that’s right here) and Cajun country as well. Expect a
second-line medley or two, so bring your white handkerchiefs.

The band will be Dennis on fiddles, accordion, vocals; Doug Hawf on
guitar, Greg Bigler on bass and me on percussion and accordion.

I hope to see some of you there.
Rob Krumm
