Started in the Spring of 2011 by Jeff Arrigo and Christopher Todd Durnil, the Champaign-Urbana Singer-Songwriter Collective originally met at the UC-IMC on Wednesday nights. We have now moved the location to the Clark Bar and meet on the first Tuesday of the month, with special showcases the following Tuesdays. This is a great group and all of us have become fast friends – it’s open to all styles, all ages, we’re non-judgmental – we’re all just there for the love of music and sharing songs and ideas for songs with one another, and talking about the music scene. If you haven’t come out to the group yet, please be sure to mark the first Tuesday of the month on your calendar. It’s a great time, and I’m always looking for musicians who would love to play on Tuesdays!
Be sure to check the Facebook page for announcements of the second Tuesday special showcases!
