We are planning to hold an English Country Dance on Sunday, May 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Channing-Murray Foundation in Urbana. We will be asking everyone to show proof of vaccination at the door and to wear masks while inside the dance space. We certainly hope we can start holding dances with less restrictions in the near future, but for the moment we feel we need to make these requirements to keep everyone safe.
Hopefully, the weather will be nice and we can have some refreshments at the break outside the building. We’ll have to keep an eye on the weather to see about that. We will also be keeping an eye on the current COVID numbers in case they get bad again and we have to reschedule.
This will be our first regular dance in over 2 years, so we are all a bit rusty. We are planning on doing a number of basic dances. I hope that everyone will be able to join us.
Join us at Channing-Murray Foundation to dance to music from the one and only Mean Lids with gender-free calling by Gail Hintze!!
There will be a short beginner lesson at 7:30pm and the dance will start at 8. Bring your own water bottle and a snack to share at the break!
We require that everyone wears a mask while inside the building and presents proof of up-to-date vaccination.
